On November 14th Sweden’s biggest daily newspaper Svenska Dagbladet awarded Tove Folkesson with their yearly Literary Prize for “Ölandssången” (“Öland’s Song”). The novel follows Eva Zackrisson’s journey, after her turbulent teenage years on the beautiful and rural Swedish island Öland, stepping out into adulthood and confronting the past.

In an interview with SvD talking about the book and the prize Folkesson said: “I usually say that this book has saved my life. After having been an anxiety-driven wisp of wind I got something to pursue and hold on to.”

We are very happy for Tove and her amazing achievement!
